News headlines call him the new Jack the Ripper aka the Candlelight Dinner Killer.

This Monster of the Week Mystery idea leads the crew on what doesn’t seem like a normal case. At first the group appears to be wrapped up in a normal police investigation of a serial killer. But nothing ever stays as it first appears, does it?
The first two murders had very little in common. The first death was actually ruled a heart attack as the female victim’s hair was bright white and her face contorted into a sort of silent scream. The male victim was found in his home a day later, the victim of an apparent suicide. The coroner mistakenly listed the couple as being considerably older in both cases. DNA and dental records confirmed the couple was 22 (F) and 24 (M.)
The second murder was similar in that the woman’s face was contorted into a silent scream, white hair and eyes wide open. The man she was last seen with fled the scene, leaving his companion to die in the street. Police are still looking for him.
Now the chase is on against an Urban Legend that preys on couples who have had a candlelight dinner together just minutes or hours before. This obsessed spirit is a man jilted by his lover years prior. By years, we mean 1867.
This case comes up once or twice every decade, but no one can ever seen to pin down when or how the killings will occur. The spectre prefers to frighten his victims literally to death, but he can manifest a sharp knife if he needs to protect himself or finish his victim.
About the time the group gets interested, another body turns up. This time the woman is considerably older. According to neighbors and friends she was out on her 25th wedding anniversary with her husband. She was found in the middle of her yard. Investigators found his body after opening the deep freeze finding him frozen to death and deprived of oxygen.
It’s up to the group to connect the pieces before another murder occurs. Once they figure out what happened to Jack in 1867, they have a better chance of preventing the next murder, possibly by staging some sort of stakeout. After a few more couples sacrificed, Jack will be able to inhabit one of the men permanently and find the descendants of the woman who spurned him.
