Everyone there, I hope they’re having fun.

That’s really the whole message. Try to stay out of trouble if you’re going. (Wink wink.) I see from my various social media accounts that there are a lot of my friends headed that way. Have fun. Be safe.

This convention makes me wish there was a “Pax Iowa” or “Pax Midwest” or something. Philadelphia is a lot out of range even if I had the budget. We need a true midwest convention that’s not a three plus hour drive from Des Moines in every given direction.

Don’t get me wrong. I haven’t been to any conventions in over a decade and a half now. I really enjoyed Con of the North, though. Having kids kinda put a dent in going to conventions. Someday, right?

Anyway, if you’re headed to Philly for the big Pax Unplugged, have a safe trip. I’ll be thinking of you. It looks like a lot of fun.
