Yesterday was enlightening to say the least.

[Content Warning: Suicide]

Disclaimer: Statements expressed in this article are strictly my opinion. If you disagree or have a different opinion, that’s okay. I’m not an expert on everything. I’m not always right. I’m just writing from my experience as I know it. Your mileage may vary.

Someone on YouTube had the unmitigated gall to start a little school girl rumor about me. Apparently I said this dude (who shan’t ever be named again even in jest) told Matt Mercer to “go kill himself.” Let’s take a look at that for a minute.

No. That is most definitely not how I do things around here. One, I don’t spread rumors about anyone. It’s a waste of my time. Yes, I tend to keep things anonymous most of the time following that one incident with a certain social media personality.

Mark my words: They never notice when you say something positive. They almost always notice when you say something negative. Everything in the middle gets misconstrued.

At no point in time do I recall ever saying someone told Matt Mercer to go unalive himself.

Yes, there have been concerns about Matt Mercer’s mental health over the last couple of months. I truly hope Matt is okay. I would never want anyone to wish ill upon him. I hope Matt’s feeling a little better these days. I certainly would never wish ill on Matt for any reason.

Sigh. But it’s the internet. Let me be clear. The guy on YouTube who’s spouting mad shit about me is just plain WRONG! How do I know? Because about eleven years ago I had a deeply spiritual awakening and cast a lot of negative things out of my life. Vicious rumor mongering about celebrities on the Internet went away long before that. In fact, I don’t remember ever spreading rumors about anyone famous on the Internet.

There is no point in telling someone to commit suicide. Furthermore, there’s no point in saying, “[REDACTED] said to go kill yourself.” Let’s be mature about this. We’re not in Middle School here.

Pivot.

After a long conversation with my Higher Self and Source, I’ve decided it’s not helping anyone or anything to engage further with this very toxic YouTube personality. I’ll be super picky about posting comments on anyone’s videos going forward.

I’m going back to focusing on the hobby I love and watching videos I enjoy on YouTube. Sure, I’ll still probably call large corporations out on their crap. Yeah, I’ll still discuss the nepotism in the TTRPG Industry and elsewhere. I’m still very much a conspiracy theorist and card carrying founder of The Tinfoil Hat Society.

Since [REDACTED] said, “No one reads Jeff’s Game Box blog, anyway,”  I’ll go on about my business of making game content and talking about roleplaying because that’s what I’m here for. That’s also what I watch on YouTube about 36% of the time. (The rest being Law of Attraction, spiritual, meditation, ASMR, and UFO/ET/conspiracy content.)

And if that YouTuber doesn’t like what I have to say, he can go kick rocks. I’m going back to doing my own thing and ignoring that which does not serve me or anyone for that matter. I don’t enjoy the company of a lot of my fellow humans as a whole, and this whole incident serves to reinforce that fact.

I’ve got BRP Design Contest entries to worry about, too. You’ll probably be seeing a lot of shorter blog entries because my writing time is going to start being devoted more to projects than on here. We’ll keep the streak alive, regardless.

If anyone wants to chat, I’m always available via email or on various social sites. Blog comments are turned off and will remain as such. Sorry if that inconveniences anyone. There is too much negativity out there right now.

Have a great day, #ttrpgfamily. Maybe go grab a nice cup of coffee or your beverage of choice. Please go out and enjoy the beautiful weather if you have it.

Thank you for being here today with me. I appreciate you. Please embrace the things that bring you the most joy.

Addendum Post Publication.

I found three interesting videos after I scheduled this post.
The first was from a YouTube channel I’d never heard of and wouldn’t normally watch. She seems nice and I like her message. You can find it here.

The other video I found dealt in psychology. I found it rather helpful with the current drama in my life on YouTube. I might have to check out their app when I get chance. The video I found with what I would consider divine timing is this one.

Finally, speaking of divine timing, this video absolutely blew my mind. It’s from a channel I’d never heard of until today. YouTube kept pushing it in front of me until I finally gave in. When the Universe puts something in your path repeatedly, it’s meant to be there which is best not to ignore it. This Norse Mythology is proving to fall in line with my own beliefs.
